Medicaid Hearing Aid Benefits Now at Hearing Aid Express

Friday, February 6th, 2009

Medicaid hearing aid benefits are now at Hearing Aid Express. Now that we accept Medicaid patients, those who are currently enrolled in Medicaid and would like to use their hearing aid benefits can come by the store. Here is what we will need from you when you come in to get your Medicaid hearing aid benefits:

  • A copy of your current Medicaid ID card
  • A copy of a valid Texas Driver’s License or state-issued ID card
  • A signed Physician’s Exam Report (Form B.41) (Note: We can provide you with a copy of this form)
  • A copy of any supplemental plan ID cards (Evercare, AmeriGroup, Molina, etc.)

Last December, new Medicaid hearing aid benefits rules went into effect. The biggest change is probably that eligible Medicaid enrollees may now be eligible for two hearing aids. Before, Medicaid hearing aid benefits typically limited eligible participants to getting one hearing aid once every six years. But now, Medicaid hearing aid benefits may allow those eligible to get two hearing aids once every five years. If you would like to see if you are eligible, we will need your current Medicaid ID number.

If you would like to take advantage of your Medicaid hearing aid benefits or have any questions, don’t hesitate to call Hearing Aid Express. Hearing aids can tremendously improve a person’s quality of life, enabling them to hear sounds clearly and loudly. Hearing aids can also make it easier to engage in conversations and social activities once again.
